My Bio

I'm a part Finnish part English girl living in Vantaa, and I enjoy reading and writing fanfics. I have (had) two female pet rats, Smokey and Fudge. Smokey died of a pituitary tumour at age two, and Fudge is now rapidly approaching the ripe old age of three. She's showing her age - hind-end paralysis, chronic laziness and sleeping a lot - but doesn't show any signs of wanting to go anywhere just yet.

I have a greenhouse at my family's country place, but I've only ever attempted to grow (successful) tomatoes, (semi-successful) potatoes, and (unsuccessful) cucumbers. The garden there is almost entirely clay (with a bit of black soil clinging to the surface, allowing a very mossy lawn to grow), but my mum and I have a flower bed which is almost entirely filled with bulbs and other perennials. Mum also made use of some of the old metal milk pails and bottles, and an old, mostly rusted cast-iron cauldron, (all left behind by my great-uncle, from whom we inherited the place,) to plant some pansies and daffodils this year. I pretty much garden when I feel like it (never feel like weeding, I'm afraid!) so most of the plants in the country are low-maintenance. Our tiny city garden is even more low-maintenance.

My Occupation

Student

My Hobbies

reading, writing, weaving, cross-stitch, papercrafts, art (acrylic on canvas), target-shooting with both an air pistol, a .22 pistol while at the range, and my dad's .22 rifle when I'm in the country, gardening and looking after my houseplants (okay-looking African violets, would-be huge jade plants (Crassula portulacea) - if it weren't for my aggressive pruning - , relatively successful cacti and a brand-new money tree (pachira aquatica)).
